Courses

AWA teaches three welding processes (Stick, MIG, and Flux) and offers two courses through this program. Courses are held from Monday through Friday for four hours a day over the eight and a half weeks. We put great effort into our course instruction to ensure that program participants learn all necessary techniques, safety practices, and how to work with various materials and work in different environments. The two courses offered are as follows.

This foundational course in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), also known as stick welding, is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required for success in the welding industry.
Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), also known as Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding.

Our courses are flexible and accessible

AWA offers flexible course schedules that accommodate diverse schedules. Whether you work full-time or are a high school student, we will meet your needs. We also accept referrals from all sources including school guidance counselors and other community-based organizations.
